# Things to Do in Neiva: Guided Horseback Rides and the Caminos del César Experience

Neiva, the vibrant capital of Huila, is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the region's nature, culture and history. If you love adventure and want something different, guided horseback rides are an excellent way to explore the landscape around Neiva. Here are some tips for enjoying a ride, and what makes the Caminos del César experience unique.
## Guided Horseback Rides near Neiva: A Unique Way to See the Region
Riding through the countryside takes you to places cars can't reach and lets you take in the scenery at an easy pace. It's an activity to enjoy as a group, chatting along the way and connecting with Huila's rural traditions.
## The Cartagena Ride
Our [Cartagena ride](https://caminosdelcesar.com/en/cartagena?hsLang=en) is a **3-hour** horseback ride for groups of **4 to 6 people**. The destination is the mystical Finca Cartagena, home to an old hacienda inhabited more than 100 years ago.
There you can immerse yourself in its stories as you walk through the ruins of the hacienda, surrounded by sulphur springs, and see the source of a mineral water spring. An experience that blends nature, history and scenery.
## Tips for Your Ride
- **Comfortable clothes** and long trousers to ride comfortably.
- **Closed shoes** with good grip.
- **Cap and sunscreen**: much of the ride is out in the open.
- **Water**: bring your own drinks.
- If you have an injury or limited mobility, tell us before booking so we can advise you about the ride.
## After the Ride
