# Sustainable Tourism

Sustainable tourism rests on three fundamental pillars: environmental, sociocultural and economic. These principles aim to minimize the negative impacts of tourism and maximize its benefits.
## The Environmental Pillar
It's about enjoying nature without harming it. At Caminos del César we practice outdoor sports responsibly, protecting the biodiversity of streams, caves and forests. Every step counts: staying on marked trails, leaving no trash and respecting wildlife make a difference.
## The Sociocultural Pillar
Sustainable tourism values communities and their traditions. Our trails bring you closer to rural life in El Triunfo: its traditional mountain cooking, how panela is made and the stories of places like the old hacienda at [Finca Cartagena](https://caminosdelcesar.com/en/cartagena?hsLang=en).
## The Economic Pillar
When you choose local experiences, the benefit stays in the area. Supporting the local community is part of how we work, and part of what makes it possible to care for these landscapes in the long term.
## How to Practice It on Your Visit
- Bring a reusable water bottle.
- Take back everything you bring.
- Watch animals without disturbing them.
- Choose local products and food.
