# Rappelling near Neiva: An Adventure at Height

## What Is Rappelling?
Rappelling is a rope technique for descending rock faces, waterfalls or slopes in a controlled way. It started as a mountaineering technique and is now one of the most popular adventure sports for anyone looking for adrenaline in nature.
## Rappelling at Caminos del César
On the [Las Golondrinas trail](https://caminosdelcesar.com/en/golondrinas?hsLang=en), rappelling joins hiking and canyoning: adventure sports all in one place, just 30 minutes from Neiva. The trail takes you to the Cueva de las Golondrinas, where you can enjoy its waterfall.
## Do I Need Experience?
Beginner or expert, the trail adapts to every level. Because of the terrain and the activities, it isn't suitable for children under 4, and if you have an injury or limited mobility you should consider whether the trail is right for you. If you have any doubts, ask us before booking.
## What to Bring
- Comfortable clothes that can get wet.
- Closed shoes with good grip.
- A cap, sunscreen and water.
